Budapest Gambit

The Budapest Gambit also sometimes called Budapest Defence A51 is a courageous gambit. In the past, it was a favorite of Tartakower and Réti. The idea is to disconcentrate the opponent, who does not know what happened after some moves. It is a provocation simply to say. Natural move is 3.d4 x e5. After this move we have two possibilities for Black. First is 3. .. Nf6-e4 Fajarowicz Variation with 4. Qd5 or Qc2 or Nd2 or Nf3. Second way of Black is 3. ..Ng4 with following 4/ e4 or Nf3 or Bf4. The opening is more played at a club level, but sometimes also seen on haigher levels by Gulko, Rogers, Kurajica..
